SUMMARY:The IAC Eurasia Arbitration Week
DESCRIPTION:The International Arbitration Centre (IAC)\, in cooperation with the international law firm\, Herbert Smith Freehills LLP\, invites you to attend the annual IAC Eurasia Arbitration Week from 5th to 7th March 2024 in Astana\, the Republic of Kazakhstan. \n\n\n\n#EAW2024 will bring together leading policymakers\, academics\, in-house counsel\, private practice lawyers\, and arbitrators from around the world to discuss the latest challenges and opportunities in arbitration practice in Eurasia. It is a platform for participants to engage intellectually\, exchange ideas\, and network with expert colleagues from various legal backgrounds. \n\n\n\nKey topics for discussion will include: \n\n\n\n\nArbitration in Eurasia – Regional Perspectives;\n\n\n\nEthical Conduct of Counsel and Arbitrators in Arbitration;\n\n\n\nResolving Legal Disputes through the Eyes of a Company;\n\n\n\nYoung Lawyers in Arbitration;\n\n\n\nWhat does it take to win a case? Arbitrator’s Perspective;\n\n\n\nInvestment Protection and Investment Disputes from States’ Perspectives;\n\n\n\nCombating Corruption and Fraud through Investment Arbitration.\n\n\n\n\nOne of the highlights of #EAW2024 will be the launch of a new book\, International Investment Law\, by N. Kondrashov\, K. Panerai\, and I. Rachkov. The book will be available in English and Russian languages and is expected to be a valuable resource for anyone interested in international investment law and related topics. The IAC Vis Pre-Moot 2024\, now in its third year\, with the participation of law students from 20 leading universities from around the world\, will also take place during #EAW2024. \n\n\n\nLanguage: English with simultaneous translation provided in Russian. \n\n\n\nParticipation in the event is free of charge upon registration.
